11 Jun 19 Profile option: “INV: Restrict Receipt of Serials”

If you enable the profile option, then you cannot receive the serial number through purchase order receipt, miscellaneous receipt, or account alias receipt, if that same serial number has been issued.

 Serial Uniqueness Types

1. Within inventory items – A serial number is considered as a duplicated if the same serial number is used by same item
2. Within inventory model and items – A serial number is considered as a duplicated if the same serial number is used by the same item or a different item and the different items are under same model.
3. Within organization – A serial number is considered as a duplicated if the same serial number is used by any item within same inventory organization
4. Across organization – A serial number is considered as a duplicated if the same serial number is used by any item in the company
